For a bean bag to be both comfy and durable, the filling should be between 50% and 60% of the bean bag’s capacity. How much filling do you need to refill a bean bag that’s lost volume?

For a small or medium-sized bean bag, 70 liters is enough. If you’ve got two, go with 125 liters.

Models: Junior bean bag, ball bean bag, stool bean bag, kids' pear-shaped bean bag, square bean bag, round bean bag, XL pear bean bag.

For large bean bags, 125 liters should do it—keep any leftover for future refills.

Models: Big bean bag, XXL pear-shaped bean bag, relax bean bag, lounge bean bag.

Our tip: start by adding a small amount of filling and test it. Keep adding gradually until you find the shape and comfort level you like best.

How much filling do you need if your bean bag is completely empty?

For a kids' pear bean bag, junior, ball, stool, round, or square bean bag: 150 liters.

We recommend getting 250 liters and saving the rest for later.

For XL bean bags or XL pear bean bags: 200 liters.

We recommend getting 250 liters and saving the rest for later.

For XXL pear bean bags, big bean bags, lounge or relax models: 300 liters.
